When to call 119
You can call 119 if you have questions or need help with coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccinations, testing, NHS COVID Pass, and more. Calls to 119 are free from mobiles and landlines. Lines are open every day from 07:00 – 23:00. 119 provides support in 200 languages.
Help with testing and staying at home
You can call 119 to:
- Get a free PCR test or a lateral flow test.
- Get help reporting PCR or lateral flow test results.
- Get guidance on how to do tests.
- Ask questions related to travel and testing.
- Complain about a testing service or get advice about how to complain.
- Get advice on staying at home and financial support if you cannot work.
Help with vaccination bookings
You can call 119 to:
- Book a COVID-19 vaccination appointment, including booster vaccination appointments.
- Cancel and rebook COVID-19 vaccination appointments.
Help with an NHS COVID Pass or medical exemption form
You can call 119 to:
- Ask questions about the NHS App or the online NHS COVID Pass service.
- Get an NHS COVID Pass letter.
- Get a medical exemption form.
You can apply for medical exemption from a COVID-19 vaccination if you believe you cannot be vaccinated or tested on medical grounds.
Help with your COVID-19 vaccination record
You can call 119 to:
- Get help if you think the information in your COVID-19 vaccination record is wrong or any information is missing.
If you need help with your vaccination record, call 119 and ask to speak to the Vaccination Data Resolution Service. You should get a call back within 21 days.
You can call 119 for help with your COVID-19 vaccination record if you had your vaccination in England, Scotland or Wales and you’re registered with a GP in England.
